physicians, surgeons, dentists and optometrists.
Jay County Hospital, a 65-bed primary care facility, serves Portland,
Jay County and surrounding communities. The medical staff is
comprised of physicians specializing in Family Practice, Emergency
Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Pathology, Radiology
and Anesthesiology. Additionally, physicians, in a variety of
specialized fields, conduct clinics through the Specialty Referral
Center, located within the hospital. The Jay County Hospital
Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day, year-round, by a team
of highly qualified healthcare professionals trained to handle all
types of emergencies.
The hospital features many other services including a Women's Center,
Obstetrics Department, laboratory, radiology/nuclear medicine,
physical/occupational therapy, and respiratory therapy.
Out-patient surgeries and specialized diagnostic procedures are
provided through the Medical Pavilion, located on the hospital
campus.
